Pierre Cardin got his diploma from the planning faculty of l’Université de Montréal in 1987, starting his career in the metropolis of Montreal. In his first 5 years, he gained solid experience in architectural concept and site supervision. He cofounded Cardin Julien in 1992.
Over the years Pierre has produced many different projects in various domains: municipal, commercial, hospital, corporate, heritage and specialized. He has a broad experience base, as much in new projects as expansions, rennovations, and feasibility studies. An excellent knowledge of building standards, combined with 30 years of experience, lead him to wise decisions that reduce costs without affecting project quality. His extensive construction knowledge allows him to act as an expert advsior about many construction and building envelope issues. Clients notice and appreciate Pierre’s professionalism, judicious council, his excellent relationships with diverse stakeholders, and the personal availability he demonstrates during projects. He has also set up various effective tools to ensure budgets and timelines are respected. He has produced many complex mandates on behalf of the City of Montreal, various municipalities and neighbourhoods, as well as numerous financial institutions and companies such as Desjardins and the Naitonal Bank of Canada. Beyond managing projects, Pierre handles the finances and administration of the firm, guidelines and quotes, and is responsible for project oversight.
