The planetarium and the reception area of the Jardin des Sciences are located in the heart of a historic garden and bordered by the Institute of Zoology and the Museum of Mineralogy. The project aims to establish a link between the two parts of the campus and to give new visibility to the Jardin des Sciences, in line with its vocation and its special role.
The Saint-Léonard borough is looking to acquire a new outdoor stage that can host a wide variety of cultural events and provide a sheltered space for various community activities. This new cultural facility should be conducive to the development of winter festivities.
Drawing inspiration from Laurentian architecture, Cardin Julien proposes a new building with a wooden frame, bright, and open to its external environment. Leveraging the natural topography of the site, the firm suggests a seamless integration of the city hall by utilizing existing ground levels to reduce the amount of construction materials while maximizing ground insulation.
Arching over Highway 132, the new Normandie walkway connects LeMoyne Park and Marie-Victorin Park following the demolition of the old walkway during the winter of 2015. The city wants the new walkway to be accessible to everyone, not just cyclists: it was designed for universal use given local demographics (multiple senior homes, etc.).
The family wanted to preserve the existing charm while creating contemporary environments. Adding outdoor areas to enjoy nature and creating spaces to facilitate the start and arrival of sports activities were at the heart of the priorities.
Located in Old Longueuil, the building housing the Caisse Desjardins of Longueuil is undergoing expansion, complete interior redesign, and a total requalification of its facades. All these modifications aim to accommodate the new Desjardins concept, giving the branch a contemporary architectural signature.
